Terms of Service

By buying a place in Internet Monuments, you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short.
1. What you get
You purchase one numbered place in a monument and the right to display a small amount of text (and, where offered, limited data) in that place. You are not buying any intellectual property, security, token, or ownership stake in Internet Monuments or anything else.
2. Your content
You are responsible for what you submit. You must own or have the right to post it. Do not submit anything illegal, hateful, harassing, deceptive, infringing, or that impersonates another person. You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to display your submission as part of the monument.
3. Moderation
Every entry is reviewed before it is published. We may reject or remove any entry at our sole discretion, including after publication. Rejected or removed entries are hidden from public view.
4. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (card) and/or PayPal, depending on what you choose at checkout. Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record for card payments. Places are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by law or granted at our discretion. A rejected entry is not automatically refunded and the place remains claimed.
5. Availability
We aim to keep monuments online indefinitely but make no guarantee of uptime, permanence, or that the service will continue to exist. The service is provided "as is".
6. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Internet Monuments is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid.
